San Francisco Weekend Guide: April 14 – April 16

Like the rest of 2017, this week has been a weird one. Scorpions are flying on planes, Kylie Jenner went to prom in Sacramento, and trigger-happy Trump low-key might lead us to war.

Friday, April 14th

FIREWORKS→ After tonights Giant’s game, AT&T Park will be setting off a spectacular fireworks display, so if you’re in the City, be sure to look up around 10PM!

HAPPY HOUR→ Head out to Pier 70 for Project Wreckless’s Happy Hour Benefit this afternoon for drinks, dancing, BBQ, dogs, and classic cars. Since 2015, Project Wreckless has been changing the lives of at risk youths, gang members, addicts, criminals, and many others by teaching them skills they can use towards a career. Participants of Project Wreckless will learn how to become a skilled mechanic, and also learn life skills like leadership, accountability, responsibility, discipline, and networking. There will also be prize raffles and live entertainment for your enjoyment, so head out to Pier 70 and show your support for this wonderful organization.

Saturday, April 15th

GOATS→ For everything goat from milk, cheeses, ice creams, yogurts, to actual goats, head out to the Ferry Building this Saturday for the Goatchella goat festival hosted by CUESA. Fun for all ages, participate in some goat-centric arts and crafts, pet goats, sample the many goat products, and shop the farmers market. This event is free for all, but an RSVP is requested.

Sunday, April 16th

GO TO THIS FESTIVAL  Filled with food vendors, J-Pop, cultural performances, martial arts, and more! The Hello Kitty Café Truck will be present, as well as several bands and DJs. If rain doesn’t interfere, over 200,000 people are expected attend this fantastic Japanese-American event. This weekend marks the end of the Cherry Blossom Festival. The Grand Parade will take place this Sunday and will begin from the Civic Center at 1PM and end at Post & Fillmore. Join in on the festivities and head out to Japantown this weekend!
