SF Weekend Guide: April 15–17
Happy Friday, weekend warriors! After several rainy weekends, the sun gods are showering us with warm, sunny weather through Sunday — with highs forecasted up to 78°F. Be sure to slap on some sunscreen if you’re heading to the park, or out for a hike.

Friday, April 15th:
Nikki Glaser, star of Comedy Central’s Not Safe with Nikki Glaser, will be performing stand-up comedy at the iconic Cobb’s Comedy Club in North Beach on Friday (8:00PM, 10:15PM) and Saturday night (7:30PM, 9:45PM). Admission is 18+ only and requires a two drink minimum per person. Tickets are available from $23.75 on LiveNation.
Attention bookworms! Chronicle Books wraps up its Spring Warehouse Sale tonight at 7:00PM, with books up 80% off. Head over to the South Park shop at 680 Second Street before 7:00PM to stock up on gifts for friends, or for yourself.
The highly-anticipated new bar Wildhawk opened last night, occupying the former home of the Lexington Club. This new Mission bar is owned by Hillary and Gavin Newsom’s PlumpJack Group, featuring a menu focusing on vermouth. 3464 19th Street, San Francisco, CA. Friday marks the Season 12 opening of Friday Nights at the de Young, from 5:00PM–8:45PM. The museum’s weekly after-hours series is a free art event in the museum’s public galleries, focusing on a new theme each week. Paid tickets ($20) are required to enter the de Young’s special exhibits. Season 12 will open with Worlds of Unimaginable Beauty, and will be celebrated with live flamenco jazz and a screening of the film Versailles ‘73: American Runway Revolution to enhance the special exhibit, Oscar de la Renta: The Retrospective. Enjoy specialty cocktails and prix-fixe menu in the de Young café, workshops conducted by local artists and other hands-on activities.
Saturday, April 16th:
After another incredible, record-shattering season, the Golden State Warriors will face off against the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference Quarterfinals at Oracle Arena on Saturday at 12:30PM. Tickets are still available on Stubhub, starting at $135. If you don’t have tickets, head over to The Yard at Mission Rock to catch the game live at the outdoor beer garden.

CUESA is hosting the Eighth Annual Goat Festival at the Ferry Building on Saturday from 10:00AM–2:00PM. The festival will feature a goat petting zoo from Toluma Farms, goat cheese tasting plates, an animal welfare talk and a “Browse the Farmers Market” Scavenger Hunt.
The 2016 Green Film Festival began yesterday and will continue this weekend through April 20th. Films, visiting filmmakers and guest speakers from around the globe will cover a range of green topics, ranging from clean energy, green chemistry, food, housing, trash, water and art in the environment. The Green Film Festival has a packed schedule, with screenings and events at locations like 518 Valencia, Roxie Theater and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Saturday and Sunday.
The 49th Annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown wraps up this weekend, with food booths, J-Pop, cultural performances, martial arts, and more! The Hello Kitty Food Truck will be present, as well as several bands and DJs. As many as 200,000 people are expected to attend the Cherry Blossom Festival this year. The Cherry Blossom Festival ends Sunday evening.
Alan Khoo will be hosting an Open House at 1528 Ortega Street, San Francisco from 1:00–4:00PM on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Swing by this charming 2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom home (listed for $999,000) to snap photos of Instagram-worthy Golden Gate Bridge views.
Sunday, April 17th:

The 32nd Annual Levi’s Presidio 10 Running Race will take place on Sunday morning, with registration starting at 6:00AM. The race, which is broken down to three events (10-mile, 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer), begins in Crissy Field (across from Sport’s Basement) with a course running across the Golden Gate Bridge and back. The Levi’s Presidio 10 is a family-oriented race organized by The Guardsmen, a group of Bay Area men utilizing their talents and resources to benefit the lives of at-risk youth. If you’re in the East Bay, and in the market for a home, visit one — or both — of our featured open homes at 16545 Ehle Street in San Leandro or 402 Crespi Place in San Lorenzo between 2:00 and 4:00PM. While you may be too cool for Fisherman’s Wharf, you’re not too cool for a selfie with Steph Curry. Okay, not the real Steph Curry. Madame Tussaud’s unveiled a lifelike wax model of the Baby Face Assassin in late March. The wax museum is open from 10:00AM to 9:00PM on Sunday.
