San Francisco Weekend Guide: June 23rd-June 25th

With temperatures soaring in the Bay, this weekend is sure to be more sizzling than Sizzler. Paris Hilton would even remark “that’s hot” on account of the City’s rising temperatures.

Indeed, there is a lot of hot stuff happening around town, in addition to the weather report. This past week marked summer solstice, which means it’s the first official weekend of summer. Moreover, it’s Gay Pride weekend, so the entire City will be buzzing with rainbow outfits and festive celebrations. This also means that traffic will be terrible.

Dance for Love→ Don a flower in your hair and get in the spirit of the Summer of 1967 at Pier 39’s free Summer of Love Dance Party this Friday night. Snap a photo using #pier39 to receive a free commemorative print, and stop by the Museum of Craft & Design’s tent to make a paper flower crown from 6-8PM. Dance the night away on Pier 39’s Entrance Plaza Stage with live music from Mania! The Live Beatles Experience and DJ Bart from 6PM until 10PM.

Catch Fleas→ Head to greatest flea market in town at the gorgeous Treasure Island. You’ll find unique trinkets, vintage accessories, spicy Bloody Marys, fun terrariums, and some of the best Bay views. This is surely one of the best markets in The Bay, and is guaranteed fun for people of all ages and interests–you’ll find someone for anyone.

Like→ Facebook knows how to do a lot of things, and fun events are no exception. Spend the afternoon in the Silicon Valley at Facebook HQ for a culinary celebration of summer with global food and drink pairings, sports and recreational activities, live music, culinary demos, family entertainment and more. The event menu is drool inducing, featuring worldly couplings like paella and sangria, tacos and tequila, wings and whiskey, BBQ and beer, and sushi and sake.
