SF Weekend Guide: April 8–10

TGIF, San Francisco! Rain could fall this weekend, but if it does, not much is expected. Local meteorologists predict as little as 1/4 of an inch will fall in the City through Sunday. As usual, we’ve got the lowdown on all the biggest events here in the City.

President Obama will be in San Francisco attending DNC fundraisers throughout the day today. Expect traffic to be a total nightmare as POTUS’s motorcade moves throughout the city. Thankfully, the President will be leaving the City around 2:00PM on Saturday. Still, join our chorus: Thanks, Obama!

The San Francisco Giants play the Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:15PM, and there will be a free fireworks show in the Post-Game.

SoMa StrEat Food Park is hosting a Puppy viewing party, where there will be a free photo booth and a Giants Dog Costume Contest beginning at 5:30PM.

Off The Grid will be in Fort Mason, with nearly 30 different food vendors as well as several different bars, DJs and live music. Admission is free to California’s largest weekly street food market.

Saturday, April 9th:

The 49th Annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival returns to Japantown this weekend, with food booths, J-Pop, cultural performances, martial arts, and more! The Hello Kitty Food Truck will be present, as well as several bands and DJs. If rain doesn’t interfere, over 200,000 people may attend!
