HalloWeekend At VERSO’s City of Lost Halloween

This HalloWeekend, San Francisco's VERSO will turn into a steampunk playground.

On HalloWeekend, come out of your casket because you won’t be the only one dressed up, as VERSO (1525 Mission Street) will turn into a steampunk playland dubbed City of Lost Halloween.

The unearthly weekend kicks off with Suara, the Barcelona-based dance music label, on Friday, October 28th. Recently awarded “Label of the Year” by the DJ Awards in Ibiza, Suara is not only provides a devilish sound with a hip, tech-house label, but they also operate a non-profit organization dedicated to cat-rescue. And yes, they save black cats, even on Halloween. Founder Coyu and partner Dosem will helm the tracks alongside San Francisco native, Alex Sibley.

On Saturday, October 29th, VERSO will be anything but ghostly. Bring out your goriest gown and do not forget your fangs, because Verso will be upping the ante with a $1,000 Costume Contest and a double-headliner show featuring Astronomar and Bot, with Hip Hop-infused Bass House to howl all night long, along with SF Bay Area local, Grensta.

For the thirsty vampires out there, VERSO’s City of Lost Halloween includes one LARGE drink special! VERSO is knocking down the price of a 15-liter prestige Champagne of the famed Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Brut Gold Champagne to $50,000 – a steal in comparison to Vegas’ $100,000 price tag!

Feet getting tired? Head on over into adjacent cocktail bar Forgery and sink into a plush leather couch and enjoy a creepy cocktail such as the El Vampiro with mezcal, manzanillo sherry, crème de cassis and salt water or Freak Show with hibiscus-infused vodka, Pimm’s, madeira, grapefruit and bitter lemon soda!

Tickets are available on www.cityoflosthalloween.com.

COYU

‘The Big Cat’, Catalan DJ/producer better known internationally as COYU is the priest of the Suara label. The worldwide club music scene has surrendered to Coyu’s performances. He’s recruited fans from every corner of the globe, playing regularly in Ibiza and festivals such as Sónar, Piknic Electronik, Ultra Music Festival, Boiler Room, Ministry of Sound, and more.

DOSEM

The exploration of the deeper side of techno by Dosem, since busting onto the scene almost 10 years ago, has seen him clock up countless air miles, release a string of hit club tracks and earn accolades from many of his peers, who deem him to be one of the most influential underground Spanish DJs in the scene today.

ALEX SIBLEY

San Francisco native Alex Sibley has solidified his name in the tech house & techno community by releasing music on some of the genre’s most respected labels, gaining support from the heavyweights of the scene, and being booked for massive shows across the US and beyond.

ASTRONOMAR

Astronomar has been a stalwart in the US club scene for many years lending his production efforts to labels like Mad Decent, Fools Gold, OWSLA, Dim Mak, and his own label Main Course. He’s recently completed his second Australia tour, played EDC Vegas for a second time, made appearances on BBC Radio 1’s Diplo & Friends, played HARD Day of The Dead, and shows no signs of slowing down.

BOT

Bot is of the future. Half man, half-machine; full Italian. Exiled in London, locked in the studio since departing legendary duo Crookers, Bot has rebuilt his sound for 2018. Futuristic techno and unorthodox club rhythms are welded with hip hop influences, and a nod to the sounds and sprit of classic house. What we have here folks, is the new tomorrow.

Grensta

Winning Discovery Project: Beyond Wonderland 2015 was a big moment for this young artist’s career. It gave him a taste of what hard work and determination can bring when following a dream, and he certainly hasn’t stopped there. Grensta’s tracks have since been featured on EDMSauce, YourEDM, TheDJList, Insomniac, Magnetic Magazine, and Ghetto House Movement to name a few.
